Several recent trainees have spent time training abroad. Lucy McCracken (Consultant, Lanarkshire) spent a year in Dunedin, New Zealand from December 2006. She spent this time doing general geriatric medicine, general medicine and had the opportunity to develop the orthogeriatric service. She had the opportunity to work with Professor A.J. Campbell. Fiona Wright (Consultant, Glasgow) spent a year in Perth, Australia from August 2003. She was able to gain experience in neurology as well as geriatrics.
